ShipRMC offers UTM services via managed relationships with highly reputed thickness gauging companies which under ShipRMC’s guidance are able to achieve high standards of performance, ensuring strict adherence to the codes and procedures as prescribed by the leading classification societies. ShipRMC’ partners are currently approved by LR, GL, BV, RMRS, RINA, ABS, DNV, and NKK.

To date UTM surveys have been conducted for a large number of vessels of diverse types including bulk carriers, tankers, general cargo vessels, offshore vessels (including research vessels, rigs and oil platforms), barges, tugs and other small vessel types. The surveys are offered on a flexible basis either while the vessel is in service, in port or in a shipyard and using rafting or rope access means additional expenses for building scaffolds do not need to be incurred. All engineers are trained and certified according to EN473 and with valid travel documents (seamen’s books and visas) can travel worldwide at short notice to match a vessel’s requirements.
